Outdoor Propane Fire Pits Take Indoor Living Outside

Outdoor propane fire pits are considered to be a luxury addition to many home. However, there are a number of kits which you can purchase which will allow you to build your own outdoor fire pits. The kits are easy to install and are a cost effective alternative to having a contractor do the work.

Choosing the right place is as important as the actual purchase of outdoor propane firepits. Since this is an extension of your living space, the right place needs to be carefully chosen. Most people find it best if the outside cooking and serving area is located just outside of their dining area or their indoor kitchen. This makes it easy to move things such as furniture and food from the inside to the outside area.

The unit has a five year limited warranty.  Also included with firepit are a stainless steel burner and base, lava shale and rock, tank stand and regulator for a 20 lbs. propane tank. There is also a 60” hose included.  The fire pit has a 20" diameter and is 4 3/4" high.

FireSense offers a Cast Iron Rim Fire Pit through Amazon- ASIN: B001W66EBU, Item model number: 60240, Model number 6806. This outdoor kitchen patio fire pit has decorative steel legs and with a wood grate and screen lift tool available. The 30” fire bowl is made of porcelain enamel. The dimensions of the fire pit are 39 x 39 x 19.7 inches and weighs 66 pounds. While this is not propane fueled, it does provide another alternative.

When your home already has a patio you can transform it into a kitchen and it is easier to add a round patio fire pit and the rest of the items needed in an outdoor kitchen. Using your existing patio is fine. Just make sure that your existing patio is able to withstand the weight of the grills, fire pits and the cabinets that you setup. The weight will also vary if you get a natural gas patio fire pit, a stone round patio fire pit, or an outdoor propane firepit. A strong wood patio or a concrete patio should do a good job of holding everything perfectly.

I love our fire pit. We roast marshmellow and sometimes hot dogs with the kids. They are warm and cozy and really don't require a lot of work to get them going.
